Dorras Gennette Eubank (Tarrance) was born in Conroe, TX on September 27, 1922, and passed away on August 22, 2012 at Shore Pines Assisted Living Community in Gold Beach, OR. She was 89 years old.
Dorras loved and was loved by her family and is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Gloria and John Sevey of Gold Beach; son and daughter-in-law Gene and Mary Ellen Eubank of Kingsport, TN; son and daughter-in law, Leslie and Linda Eubank of Katy, TX; grandson Matthew Eubank of Brooklyn, NY; grandson Zachary Eubank of San Diego, CA; grandson David Eubank of College Station, TX; granddaughter Emily Birse of Katy, TX; grandson Rob Weeks of Katy, TX; grandson Tim Weeks of Tomball, TX; grandson Kelly Sevey of Gold Beach, OR; grandson Tim Sevey of Eugene, OR; grandson Sean Sevey of Springfield, OR; and former husband and friend, Eugene O. Eubank, Jr. of Sylva, NC. She was preceded in death by her father, Dorras Leslie Tarrance, and her mother, Ella Gennette Tarrance (Cochran).
Dorras was a classically trained pianist and was surrounded by music for the majority of her life. She was an avid reader and had a degree in literature from Indiana University. She loved to travel and besides living in several states, she also lived in the Middle East and Thailand. Her professions in life were as a homemaker, piano teacher, church organist/pianist and admissions supervisor at Methodist Hospital in Houston, TX.
She will be remembered by all for her friendliness, kindness and sweet smile. To know her was to be her friend. She will be remembered by her family for her brilliant mind, her lovely piano playing and her sharing, caring and loving way.
