Agness Summer Extravaganza
WHEN: Grilling begins at 11 a.m. Horseshoe competition begins at noon. Entry fee is $5.
WHERE: Agness-Illahe.

The Agness-Illahe Rural Fire Protection District invites you to join them in their 9th annual fundraiser. There will be games and prizes for kids, music and food for everyone, and of course, the ever popular tomato piñata. Brew & Art Festival
Bicycle Event
WHEN/WHERE: Registration begins between 8 and 9 a.m. at the Curry County Fairgrounds on Highway 101.
INFO/FEE: Route heads north to Jerry's Flat Road and then follows the Rogue River south bank. There will be aid stations at the Fairgrounds, Lobster Creek, 10 miles beyond Lobster Creek, and at the Cougar Lane parking lot. Riders have the option of going 22, 33, or the full 62 miles with most of the ride on Jerry's Flat Road and the Forest Service Road to Agness. The cost of the ride is $35. Each rider will receive a t-shirt, number, refreshments, discount coupons to local restaurants, and half-off admission to the Brew and Art Festival. Funds will benefit the Rotary Club of Gold Beach. Annual Brew & Art Festival

Friends of NRA Fundraiser
WHEN: 5 p.m.
WHERE: Elks Lodge, Brookings.
INFO/FEE: Tickets are $35. NRA membership is not required to participate. Dinner will be Prime Rib or Fish, salad, baked potato, vegetable, and dessert. Activities will include raffles, games and auctions. Friends of the NRA is a non-profit, tax-exempt, non-political foundation. Funds raised are distributed based upon grants awarded by the State Funding Committee.

Redshirts 9-11 Concert & Vigil
WHEN: 5 p.m. - dusk.
WHERE: Azalea Park, Brookings.
INFO: This is a remembrance to honor The Victims of 9/11, our Fallen Troops, our Military, and Veterans. Jurassic Country & Co. will perform starting at 4:30 p.m. A raffle drawing for a 42-inch TV and other items will be at 6 p.m. Our grilled hotdogs, brats, chips, cookies, and drinks will also be available. Food Dehydration & Jerky Workshop
WHEN: 10 a.m. - noon.
WHERE: At the OSU Extension meeting room at the Event Center in Gold Beach.
INFO/FEE: During the workshop participants will learn how to safely dehydrate fruits and vegetables creating meals, snacks, and gifts without watching the clock, keeping an eye on the canner, and trying to find storage space for all those jars of preserves. Cost for this workshop is only $5.

Jet Boat Cruise Dinner Fundraiser Save the Date!
WHEN: Kick-off 12 Noon. Port of Gold Beach boarding at 1 p.m.
WHERE: Kick-off at Happy Days Malt Shop, Gold Beach. Boarding at the Port of Gold Beach.
INFO/FEE: Attendees will be treated to champagne and hors d'oeuvres before proceeding to the Port for boarding on the ‘Rogue Queen', a glass-enclosed craft that will carry passengers up the Rogue River to Agness. A delicious buffet dinner will be served at Singing Springs Resort including tri-tip and baked chicken. The cruise will return about 6 p.m. The ticket price is $75 and includes the ‘Bon Voyage' party, a 64-mile round trip jet boat ride, a buffet dinner, a raffle ticket and a $40 deductible donation. One hundred percent of all donations received remain within our local community to impact our current and future health needs.

Moose Christmas in October Fundraising Dinner

INFO/FEE: The Gold Beach Moose Lodge and Chapter will host a Community Service Project to help provide a better Christmas for the children of Curry County. $5 per person and a donation of one child gift per family. All gifts and any money raised above the cost of food or other expenses will be given to Child Services here in Gold Beach to be used for Christmas Baskets. We are also collecting gently used bicycles, tricycles, and wagons that can be cleaned up, painted, and given away.
